Singer/songwriter and the token sexy-smart-girl-in-glasses before Tina Fey, Lisa Loeb got hitched over the weekend! Her new dude-4-life is Roey Hershkovitz, a music supervisor for Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Loeb, 40, wore a pink wedding gown (which we assume harkens back, in some way, to her well-documented Hello Kitty obsession) for the Jewish ceremony. The couple served their guests buffet-style jumbo lump crab and chocolate mousse wedding cake during the winter wonderland reception.
We were fans of Loeb’s short-lived reality series, #1 Single, in which she portrayed herself as an utterly charming, slightly nutty thirty-something who was trying to revive her solo career and find a nice Jewish boy to love her at the same time. Combined, these two things are pretty much the rock ‘n’ roll/love Holy Grail. But she did it! (Er, the marriage part, at least.) And we’re delighted for her. Let’s just hope this one lasts, because as much as we would masochistically enjoy a show about Loeb looking to replace her beschert, it would be a little too sad for us to bear.
But now that she’s gotten the guy stuff taken care of, maybe she’ll have the time to return Jay Brannan’s phone calls.
