New Material from Mazzy Star’s Hope Sandoval

by Emily Youssef

Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You” was ubiquitous in the early ’90s, thanks to the dreamy voice and lyrics of Hope Sandoval. From the band’s sophomore album, So Tonight That I Might See, the single cracked the Top 50 on the U.S. and UK charts and was a favorite at awkward middle and high school dances everywhere.

Now Sandoval is back with My Bloody Valentine drummer Colm O’Ciosoig as Hope Sandoval & the Warm Inventions. The duo’s sophomore album Through The Devil Softly comes out September 15 and the band is developing plans for a fall tour in the States, with Europe to follow.

  1. Gorgeous song. She’ll play here in Dublin, in October. I´ve got my ticket already. Thank God. :)

  2. Hope Sandoval breaks the boundaries and makes you a believer with her incredibly sultry and mystical vocals and her beautiful eyes. I love U Hope.
