If you’re in New York and want to check out something new, the city’s first Music Video Film Festival kicks off tonight in Brooklyn at Public Assembly. In honor of music videos submitted by their directors, there will be performances by finalists Lowry, Ivan and the Terribles, H. Wood and Ludlow Lions, as well as a separate battle of the bands. We’re personally interested to see–based on names alone–how Dinosaur Feathers fares against Hank & Cupcakes. Winners of both best music video and best band-battler will be announced at the venue. Keep an eye on Lowry, though. They may be sneaking into nearby pools afterward.
