While you’re probably recovering from various Halloween blowouts and thinking ahead to the holidays, things are just getting heated up in Dubai for SoundCity, the city’s first winter music festival. De La Soul, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Futureheads, The Wombats, Super Furry Animals, Ladytron, We Have Band, Beat Antenna, 20 DJs and dozens more will take the stage at various venues across the “City of Gold” this weekend.
There will also be CMJ-style panels focusing on topics like music publishing, international touring and the ever-popular debate on downloading, plus plenty to check out in the city. And you thought Austin was the best destination for music festivals.
